We come to this restaurant every once in a while (...
We come to this restaurant every once in a while (though according to the waiter, he s clearly never seen us before so we possibly couldn t have been here before!) and usually have very good food and good service.
Hence, tonight we came in tempered with the same expectations, and to order the food we usually have, a large chicken pizza without the BBQ sauce and a chicken pasta.
Upon entering, we were greeted by a half hearted attempt of a welcome although to be fair since we work in the same industry we are empathetic and sympathetic towards others in the same situation coming closer the end of the day.
So in we did go, sat down at a table, menus and table water was brought to the table promptly (credit due where it is), and we ordered the food, and were told that it s not possible at all and that he would have to go to the back and see whether they have the sauce as they usually don t have it (the house special homemade mayo). We then said that this is usually what we have, can we just replace the BBQ sauce with something else and to this the waiter responded that he had worked there for four years and had never seen us before! Clearly we were lying, as there was no other implication there other than that! We asked the waiter whether he would like to see our bank statements as proof and having been disheartened we walked out and ended having dinner right next door at Sandrino and it was delicious and the service such a counterpart it was a breath of fresh air.
Usually not one to write a bad review or to pile ill will on our fellow brethren, the way we were treated was so unbelievably bad we had to do this! We hope you take this as constructive criticism as we usually enjoy the food here and the service.
