The hotel was clean, the stay were friendly and did their jobs well and the location of the hotel was fair. Its a perfectly fine enough hotel. But I'm just done with this hotel group.

I've been staying at Accor hotels for a few years now, but I think with my gold membership coming to an end this year this will be my final stay at this chain. My main issue with all the Accor hotels is the fact that there really isn't any consistency across the various hotel brands and across the very same brand in different countries. I've staying in various Novotel, Mercure and Ibis hotels in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, France, South Korea, Germany and other countries.

I expect to have a consistent experience when I stay at these hotels and that is never the case, even when it comes to the basics like having water in the room which this hotel does not provide. Getting room upgrades that don't feel like anything at all and then being made to feel like you are being given a premium service. I'd rather spend an extra 5 minutes and find a hotel stay I can depend on as opposed to having to guess at it even if I have to pay a bit extra.
