The crew was awesome and super friendly, the trip itself though fell very short of expectations. The crater was a cool sight, but the snorkeling was nothing to write home about, it was clear, but we saw more fish, different varieties, and overall better snorkeling at Ka'anapali and Makena right off the beach with no hour long boat ride.

After the crater we drove for 30 mins to our next stop...Turtle Town....Just to have the captain say his buddies text him and said it was 10ft visibility and so we just rode 30 min back to the crater - no different backup? (Again, luckily we saw tons of turtles at Ka'napali and Makena without the expensive excursion) Then it was an hour back to the harbor and the ride was done at 1pm, not the advertised 2pm time....And we didn't do any whale watching. I definitely felt robbed for $95/person.

I would say for snorkeling - stick to the popular beaches and rent your gear and you'll see more that way. Not missing out on much here - seems to be WAY over hyped to get people to go pay to get out there.
