NEVER let this place talk you into getting a g tub...

NEVER let this place talk you into getting a g tube for your baby just so he can come home and they won't have to deal with him anymore. They kept telling us he would be so much better off at home with us to help him learn to eat and it's just because they want the extra space to bring in another baby and still have you coming in for regular visits so they can get money from both ends. They sent us home with him on an unrealistic feeding schedule on a food pump with his g tube and he has done nothing but vomit since he's been home and no one wants to do anything to help. The BPD clinic just wants to switch formula around constantly which does nothing or makes it worse and his GI doctor doesn't want to go against anything that the BPD team says even though a vomiting issue should be his line of work. They are now trying to just prescribe him Prilosec even though they told us multiple times it will not stop the vomiting, it will just make it less acidic. I'm only giving 2 stars because they did finally get him off of CPAP, but they were lazy with everything else. The in house nursing staff is also a joke because they're so short staffed and your baby will constantly just get a float nurse and no one gets to know your baby like they did when he was first at OSU. At OSU they would make sure your baby would get the same nurses every time they worked so he could get the best care. My baby will probably never eat by mouth now even though he was before, because he does nothing but vomit and is miserable all day. I wish I had other options but this place dominates the entire central Ohio area, unfortunately...
