I am a 57 yr old native of York Pa. Pleasant Acres nursing home has always had a bad reputation! Unfortunately, my Aunt recently moved to this facility. I am horrified and sad that this is where my Aunt has to live out the remainder of her life. This facility is filthy! My Aunt is bedridden and is at their mercy. Only one time since I ve visited her and there have been many, has someone come in her room to check on her bathroom needs. Her personal hygiene is ignored. Dirty matted hair with big pieces cut out of back! (I bought dry shampoo for her! I think I m the only one using it!!! Hours of unattended care! The staff is nice enough when you see them however being nice doesn t equate to proper health care. I ve sat with her many times through her lunch.The food is horrible except for the packaged food ie yogurt. Her tray is filled with things she does not eat! I personally ,would prefer to die than live at this facility! There are no excuses for York County or Premiere!! Everyone should be ashamed! I guarantee you, none of the elitist county or corporate people would have their loved one in such a place!
