My experience at Kensington West has been very UNPLEASANT. I have lived in many places around the US and this is by far the worst experience I have ever had with an Apartment complex. I have been stationed in MO for 5 months. I have spent 3/5 months dealing with excessive amounts of dust/dirt and possibly mold within the apartment. I have developed respiratory issues while living in this apartment. I informed management of the health issues that the apartment is causing me, and I have provided documentation from my doctor stating those issues. They have failed to fix the problems within the apartment. I can no longer let my health deteriorate by continuing to reside in these apartments. After providing documentation and proof of health deterioration, The Michelson Organization (Owner of Kensington West Apartments) will not waive the 20% buyout fee because they stated that I signed a lease agreeing to pay. I signed a lease with the expectation to live in a clean and habitable apartment. They have failed to provide a habitable apartment, yet I must suffer for their short comings and stay in the apartment and continue to breathe in dirt/dust and/or mold OR pay an additional $2500 to move out during a pandemic. They claim to care about their residents, but they have allowed me to live in a molded apartment. They do not uphold their end of the lease by providing a safe place for tenants to reside. There must come a time when the health of their tenants is more important than their greed. I cannot afford to develop further respiratory issues from this apartment, nor can I afford to worry about my health declining in these apartments and contracting Covid 19. If you are looking for a comfortable home with landlords who care about the health and well-being of their tenants and the conditions of their apartments, LOOK ELSEWHERE.

MORE REASONS that I WOULD NOT recommend KENSINGTON WEST APTS or any complex through the Michelson Organization:
-tenants smoke cigarettes inside of the apartment (smoking is prohibited) and nothing is done about it.
-constant loud beeping noise from old generators whenever a tenant turns on their air (maintenance stated that the generators are 60 years old, but will not get replaced until they break down completely)
-ceiling in the living room and bedroom cave in (maintenance stated that it will get worse during the winter).
-WALLS ARE EXTREMELY THIN! You can hear your neighbors entire conversation when they are speaking at a normal tone.
