Rose was absolutely wonderful to work with! My sister and I needed to find a place for our very young (60s) but very ill father. He was in and out of the hospital and short-term care facilities for months (during the pandemic) with myriad (heart, kidney, brain, gal bladder, etc.) issues and our stress level was high, to say the least. Rose was patient, kind, supportive, and incredibly knowledgeable.

When our dad was finally ready for discharge, Rose arranged for an independent nurse evaluator to determine his care needs. She then set up zoom meetings between us, our dad, and three different adult family homes that were within his modest budget for Medicaid spend-down. All three were wonderful and the one our dad picked was absolutely perfect!

The adult family home gave my dad a beautiful room (which they let us decorate before move-in with his personal belongings so he felt at home). Rose found a home that had a walk-up bedroom window for us to visit with our dad in a contact-free environment, which was incredibly important to him. The home, because it is small, also allowed him to watch tv, play games, cook, eat, and visit with the other residents, which is not allowable in larger facilities during the pandemic. This ensured his spirits stayed high, especially during the holidays and long winter months.

Right after his move-in in August, our dad called me and said, This place is great! They make my bed while I m at breakfast! It s like living on a cruise ship! He has lost weight (he needed to), gained strength, improved his blood sugars, and looks 10 years younger than when he moved in. He was even able to walk two blocks to the ballot box to drop off his ballot (with us masked, walking near him and while using his walker) to vote in November! He is happier than I have seen him in years and I could not have navigated this process (or gotten my dad to trust in it) without Rose s guidance, expertise, and patience!

Rose worked tirelessly to help my family find my dad a place where he would be happy and she truly is an angel in my eyes!
