I came into the ER around 2:00am on Monday October 2nd. I was having severe stomach pain. This was day 2 of a family beach trip, we are from Tennessee. I was in pain and scared. My first nurses name was Lauren and she was amazing! She explained everything to me and was so patient with all my questions. I ended up needing an emergency appendectomy. I was scared. Lauren was so comforting and put me at ease. She even found a phone charger for my husband. Everyone I encountered was so very kind and patient with me. After my surgery my nurse was Brenda, and she too was stellar. She even stayed late to see me through my discharge. I have never really had any health issues and having surgery out of state was terrifying, but everyone I met at FWBMC just went above and beyond. Thank you to all, from the bottom of my heart.
