Boys in the Dublin Literary Pub Crawl really go out of their way to make your time enjoyable. Mind you, it s 2.5 hours, so it better be enjoyable. I would recommend this tour to both literature lovers (I said lovers, not snobs) and those completely clueless (yes, even those illiterate). This is not a lecture tour, this is indeed living Dublin through some of the greatest works in literature. And the beer at each location, well, that s just the bonus.

Please note, the tour guides are very talented actors. You will feel as if you re in a theater while standing in front of Trinity College and looking them act out one of the scenes from their list. Priceless, especially if it happens to be raining outside. I ve got to say though, I was tempted to shout out a thing of two, just to see if it would throw them off guard, but then, I enjoyed it too much to risk being kicked out.

So here s my checklist:

Learn something new: CHECK
Laugh (actual LOL): CHECK
Pompously nod your head like you know what they re talking about: CHECK
Visit pubs not on tourist list of Dublin: CHECK
Be relaxed and have a good time even if touring alone: CHECK
Drink beer: CHECK (actually, a must)
Take pictures (it s encouraged): CHECK
