Plenty of wildlife as this is all part of Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary: sea lions, seals, littoral creatures and birds, etc. Frequent whale sightings! Several places to eat nearby, plus Maverick's Surf Shop and HMB kayak rental. If you're bringing your boat, call the harbormaster for slip availability - easy marina to access, just watch the shoals before the breakwater.
