For the past 40 years, Dwelling Place has been providing affordable housing across Grand Rapids and West Michigan. What started as a single housing community in the Heartside Neighborhood of Grand Rapids has now grown to more than 1400 rental units across 4 different counties.

Dwelling Place continues to address the needs of the community including a variety of innovative affordable housing options, over 100,000 square feet of rental retail space, and community leadership programming like resident-led gardens.

In fact, this year Dwelling Place launched their Regional Community Land Trust to bring affordable home ownership options to West Michigan. The CLT will include the transformation of several existing Dwelling Place housing communities and will continue to expand, creating home ownership options for low and moderate income families.
