The pub itself looks lovely from the outside but has spartan and simple decor inside. The food is not terribly good and the chairs are uncomfortable. The main negative is the effect it has had on the local village. The pub only has 5 parking spaces, yet because it is somewhat isolated (the nearest bus stop is a 10 minute, beautiful walk away), nearly every patron brings their cars. This has had a large negative impact for the local residents who now find it harder and harder to park, sometimes impossible.

If you do go to this pub, please, please don't bring a car. Enjoy the walk from the bus stop at The Cross Keys pub (numbers 3 and 267 from Bath City Centre) or get a taxi. Keep Southstoke safe and respect the needs of the locals.
