I am very disappointed with how I have been treated by Marriott . First off , we had housekeeping leave our door open an entire day . I went to front desk and she gave us 12,500 points for this . During that discussion with us Stephanie assured us that at the end of our stay we would also get our points for our stay . Upon checking out I asked the gentleman do I have to do anything more to get my points . His reply was no , I see you booked with a third party but that doesn t matter you will still get your points . So a week passed and I didn t see points . I called the Marriott in Richardson and the gentleman told me to call the bonvoy number . He said I will email you your receipt . So , I call the number and get a gentleman on the phone who agreed we were owed points and he would take care of it . He told me I would receive ten points for every dollar I spent . A few days later I get an email telling me I booked with a third party and would not get my points . Several employees already told me I would. I was basically called a liar and was not accommodated . I have been in management all my life and never treated so poorly . Basically I was called a liar and was not accommodated . Maybe that is their policy , but if so they should train their employees. After being told by multiple people , I should have been taken care of . So to close Marriott has lost a good customer .
