Review of The Chelsea Hotel

I stayed at the Chelsea Hotel for a few nights in fall 2018. Its pretty centrally located in downtown Toronto just a few blocks away from the Eaton Centre. The main floor of the hotel is quite nice and contemporary, although I found the rooms to be a bit plain and dated. However, the rate I got for the hotel was better than others in the area, so I suppose that balances it out. Despite being in a busy downtown area, I found my room to be pretty quiet. The elevators were a bit confusing since certain coloured elevators only go to certain floors. The main floor does have a restaurant/bar and a convenience store which is helpful. Different exits are clearly marked (e.g., BAY , YONGE , ELM ) which made the area really easy to navigate to various locations on foot. I much appreciated the signage. The staff I interacted with were helpful and friendly. I would certainly consider staying here again.
