I learned about Chincoteague, Va., in a AAA members magazine and decided to vacation there.
I was amazed at how laid back it is. There was very little traffic and the people were very friendly. It was so much fun to see the wild ponies up close and in their natural habitat. It was a wonderful experience to see the dolphins jumping in and out of the water. The wildlife refuge gave visitors great photo opportunities to photograph the migratory birds there. The beach was very clean and not overcrowded.
I think my favorite part of Chincoteague were the beautiful sunrises and sunsets.
It was truly a memorable experience.
