Location is all this hotel has going for it. Got hit with a MANDATORY $40 fee after already paying online for the room. The fee is for wifi and gym room. Don't need either but apparently have to pay for both. Spent two hours trying to book the room for another night, because apparently "reservations is outsourced" and they had no communication with the front desk. Just had housekeeping open our door without knocking, refused to shut the door after we told her we extended our stay, two hours after checkout time. She then knocked again telling us to call the front desk. We called. They tried to tell us to come checkout and check in. We did that earlier today and paid .

Tldr: facilities are poorly maintained, customer service sucks, but good location. Rooms are akin to a seedy motel rather than a hotel across from Madison Square Garden
