Rude, dismissive, and shaming staff. Horrible heal...

Rude, dismissive, and shaming staff. Horrible health & safety standards (see my picture of the open trashcan full of vials, IV bags, and sharps next to my bed). Incapable of organizing files and billing.

Here's my full story:

I went here when I was dizzy, fatigued, and was getting intense migraines. I told every nurse/doctor who saw me that I have been anemic in the past. I was ignored every time.

They took my blood FOUR separate times, collapsed three veins, and scolded my sister (who was with me) for asking them to try consolidating their tests into fewer vials. They tested for various diseases, but never for iron-deficiency. The doctor told me I probably had meningitis, and that he wanted to do a lumbar puncture. I didn't have a fever, I could bend my neck, and I had no light sensitivity... Essentially no symptoms of meningitis. When I said I didn't want the lumbar puncture, he shamed me saying, "This is a deadly, infectious disease and you don't want to treat it?".

Also, there was an open plastic trashcan sitting next to my bed with a USED IV bag filled with a mysterious red liquid, a coffee cup, and some used needles. No sharps container. No biohazard bag. It was completely disgusting, and there was no way I would allow the doctor to do a lumbar puncture.

I went to Seattle's emergency room the next day, got a single blood test, and was diagnosed with severe iron-deficiency anemia.

Don't go here if you can avoid it. The staff (at least from my experience) is rude, dismissive, and quick to shame you. Health and safety standards are completely ignored. They bill incorrectly, letting my bill go to collections before sending me one in the mail. Finally, Seattle Children's Hospital couldn't obtain my blood test results from them because they had already "lost" my file.
