My mom and dad were staying here for my wedding. Very nice place. Service was lacking. Over two days, mouthwash was never replaced by housekeeping, sheets were half-heartedly straightened (not tucked in), dirty dishes from room-service were left in the room. Overall a very nice place though. Maybe it was an "off" couple of days or perhaps they were short-staffed but for charging luxury prices there could definitely be improvements in service. I had lunch at the restaurant and waited about five or ten minutes by the 'wait to be seated' sign. I was eventually seated with no silverware nor napkin. I understand that it was slow - having worked in the service industry for six years at a luxury hotel, I get it that the wait staff was probably doing side work. But once my food arrived no one came back to see how I was doing. I will clarify that my food came with a spoon (it was tomato bisque with grilled cheese and a side salad - which was all very delicious!) So I did not immediately notice the rest of the missing silverware and napkin until after I had some soup. I just grabbed some from another table. I mentioned this when I was finally presented the check by the bartender (I didn't see my waitress again) just so he would know the table need a place setting. He was nice and thanked me, and I think he apologized too, which is nice. The food was great though. I had some of my mom's lobster slider a different day and that was also delicious. And the prices were reasonable for the type of food. But again, for that kind of establishment the service was lacking. Service was not bad, the staff is nice, just not attentive for a luxury style hotel and restaurant. Except for Amanda who works at the restaurant. Amanda was great.
