I am writing this because I want to share our recent experience we had at your dealership. We had purchased a new car in 2009 and had a really good experience, so we decided to come back. Let me start by saying my husband worked in dealerships for 40 years, and retired from Thompson's a few years ago, and I worked in retail for 38 years, so we both have a clear understanding of what quality customer service is. On Thursday, we stopped by the dealership on our way to Arkansas to look at a Ford pickup that was advertised on your website. We met Zac Feith. He informed us that the truck had sold. We decided to drive around and see what else was available. We found a black GMC 2007 model that we were immediately interested in. After looking it over and talking to Zac, we decided we would come back on Monday. He was in agreement with this, taking our phone number, that Monday would work out great for him as well. On Saturday morning around 8:30 am he called and we set up an appointment with him for today, Monday at 9:30am. Today we drive up at the scheduled time with our title and our checkbook, to have him meet us in the parking lot to inform us that the truck was sold , in his words to "Some old guy that felt like he had been ripped off a few months ago" He quoted us a price of 15999.00, and he stated that this guy had seen it on the internet so they had to honor that price to the man who purchased the truck. He also stated that he was busy on Saturday and didn't have time to call us and let us know that it was sold, he also stated that he was there until 8:00 pm on Saturday. So I guess he couldn't find 2 or 3 minutes to give us a call. Then, today we drive from Ozark to Aurora, expecting to purchase the truck, not knowing it was a waste of time and gas. It is about a 45 minute drive from where we live. I don't know what time he went to work this morning, but again, he stated that he had forgot we were coming so he didn't call us this morning either. Needless to say we were and still are truly disappointed, not only in the fact that he didn't keep his word to us, and allowed someone else to buy a vehicle he had basically promised not once, but twice to hold for us, but that he also didn't call us, and we made a trip for nothing, but also that fact that he stated that "He FORGOT that we were coming", I guess we weren't that important. Very unprofessional, and just an all around horrible experience. Not in our opinion, what we would consider quality customer service.
