My overall shopping experience years ago was fine ...

My overall shopping experience years ago was fine a few years back. But recently brought my golf in for a couple recall services and the standard service check. When I picked up my car there were grease stains left on the passenger seat which I noticed while driving home. I let Rhonda (one of the service managers I believe) know via email along with pictures within ten minutes of leaving the dealership.

She apologized and let me know they would clean it for me. I tried to book an appointment and she wouldn't respond to emails, later citing it was a busy week. So we had to schedule for the following week as they wouldn't do the cleaning on the weekend, even though that was easier for me.

When I brought my car in, another lady (the dealership manager maybe??) and Rhonda looked at the stains and said "i don't see why our service team would be in the passenger seat". Still agreeing to clean it but acting as if I'm wasting their time.

I got an email stating that the stains were lifted and I could pick up my car later that day like we agreed to. When I showed up at 6pm the dealership was closed (they are open till 9pm every other night). They neglected to tell me that they closed early on Fridays during any of our conversations. But, luckily, A very nice salesman and administrative lady were still there and helped me get my car. I'm kicking myself over not getting their names as they were the best part about this experience.

To cap everything off, yes some of the stains were lifted but I am left with blotches on the seat from the cleaner instead.

Honestly, I love Volkswagen and will continue to drive the vehicles, but would rather buy from a dealership in another city than support them.
