LANDSCAPE ONE Review of Crestview Cadillac

BUYER BEWARE! I am a business owner. My secondary household car is a 2013 Cadillac Escalade ESV, with a certified warranty that is still valid until August of this year. I have owned/leased more than three dozen vehicles, most of which have been GM vehicles.
I take care of my vehicles with regularly scheduled maintenance. I do not have any children who beat the vehicles up. My vehicles are even washed more than once a week.
The audacity displayed the past 2 weeks by Charlie the District Manager at Crestview Cadillac has left me in total dismay and shock at the level of customer service provided by Cadillac (specifically, Crestview Cadillac located at 555 S. Rochester Rd., Rochester, MI 48307; Repair #008 from 2/19/2018/ thru 3/8/2018).
My rear defroster wire has now been fixed 5 times by this dealership. I am told it is a GM engineering flaw on this vehicle, which I agree is likely true. Today, the most recent visit, I was informed that Charlie the District Manager advised if the rear defroster wire falls apart again (which it probably will), to go to another dealership, because they do not wish to honor the warranty or repair this wire again.
This is a total breach of the representation made with regard to the certified warranty provided by Cadillac. I switched to Crestview Cadillac because Cadillac of Novi always took two weeks to get an appointment for service. I even brought my Jeep to Crestview Cadillac for paid car washing/detailing because they did a good job in the past, and I wanted to give them all my business.
This dealership group also owns a few Mercedes dealerships. I recently referred my friend to Mercedes Novi (same ownership) for an E350, and planned to buy my G550 from there. Not anymore. This dealer group has lost my business due to the poor customer service skills of Charlie the District Manager, who does not honor GM certified warranties.
To add insult to injury, the part was on back order for two weeks. The loaner vehicle they issued had Courtesy Vehicle written all over it an advertisement that basically screams, Yes, my Cadillac is back in the shop yet again. The best solution they suggested on my 4th visit for repair was to try not to use the rear hatch too often, especially in the cold, so the wire doesn t keep falling off. I hardly even open the rear hatch! It s a Cadillac! Disgraceful.
I guess I can only hope this defroster wire has been fixed properly to avoid a 6th repair at yet another dealership. Cadillac, what the heck is wrong with your customer service? -Omar George
