I was on my way to my grandma's rosary when I got ...

I was on my way to my grandma's rosary when I got pulled over for not having a front license plate. However, the plate was there on my windshield where it was clearly visible but I got pulled over anyway. I had my little sister in the truck with me & I explained to him that we were on our way to my grandmother's funeral but officer Ponce, I believe was his name, had no sympathy whatsoever. The day before I had cleaned out my truck & didn't realize that an envelope I put in the kitchen had my insurance papers in there, so when he asked for them they weren't there & I begged him not to give me a ticket because I was truly having a horrible week. I did anything I could to get him to let me off with a warning, I even put him on the phone with my dad who was mourning the loss of his mother & went outside the funeral home to answer the phone, even though the line of people giving him his condolences went all the way out the door. Once they hung up, Officer Ponce told me to get in my insurance papers to him by 5 at the Edinburg PD or else he'll give me a ticket. Sure enough, I show up to the police department by 5 & sure enough he wasn't there. I asked people there for help & if they knew where I could find him, but they were all very rude & rather unhelpful. I left extremely angry that I was missing my grandmother's rosary for this. Finally I called someone from the PD office and even though they were rude, they connected me with office Ponce on the phone. Officer Ponce denied the fact that he told me to be there by 5 & started accusing me of not listening right because he apparently said 6. That's when he told me to meet him at Freddy Gonzalez park to show him my insurance papers. I thought that was very unprofessional & a bit creepy. What breaks my heart is that I wasn't there for my grandma, who has had a huge impact on my life as well as many other citizens of Edinburg who loved her, all because of some jerk of an officer who never gave up his effort to give me a ticket so that he can get money off of it. Honestly I wouldn't even give him 1 star but that was the only way I could post this. So shout out to you officer Ponce!
