I've been to a lot of doctors in my day. Not all of them have been particularly warm, welcoming, or acted like they wanted me there. Never so much as at MIT Medical, however, wherein I was scrutinized without a filter by Dr. Amirnazmi, who was appalled by the medication I was taking to the point of speaking most unprofessionally about it, as well as the state of my hair [something I am sensitive about] which was in bad shape due to illness. Her bluntness, abruptness, and the way she rushed around was exhausting. She did manage to listen to a couple of my concerns, but namely, I felt like a number instead of a person. I suppose that's the cost of attending a busy university facility, though. And it seems a lot of people had similar experiences.
