First stayed at royal Pacific orlando a few years ...

First stayed at royal Pacific orlando a few years ago. Stayed in the club level, loved the food and drink, rooms were ok. Since then the hotel has remodeled. To be critical, they should have purchased wall friendly courtesy carts. As the room custodians make their way down the hall cleaning rooms, these carts have made the walls look like a wal mart loading ramp wall, beat to heck. We go to universal orlando every year for my wife's birthday. Have stayed at portofino, hard rock, royal pacific, cabana bay, sapphire falls, double tree orlando. At first, portofinos club level was substandard compared to royal pac. Then portofino upped their game. Hard rocks club is no comparison to royal pac, hard rocks club is 3rd of 3. Since portofino upped the game, food comparison between porto and royal pac is near identical. Where portofino spreads the gap and takes the lead is club level booking flexibility. You do not have to be on the "club floor". Royal pac also loses points on birthday perks. First year we got a small cupcake, great recognition, we loved it. Next year was a drink ticket to Jake's. We went in, the bartender handed us a drink menu, we showed him the drink ticket and he yanked the menu out of my wife's hands, gave her a new sub menu and said this is your drink list. Now I dont mind having a certain set to order from but c'mon, you dont yank things out of people's hands unless your a dlck. Props to Jake's beer fest though, it was worth the ticket price. This stay we noticed this big blue piece of plumbing pipe laying by the dog walk, random sandbags? , and we noted some coke lids in the hall floor on day one, were still there on day 6. We could have picked them up but was more curious to see if the attendants would make a move. No one picked them up, we all failed the boy scout girl scout pledge . For now, sapphire falls is a much better "off" site stay, portofino is the best on site stay. Royal pacific, I would be hard pressed to stay again, unless it's one of those email offers too good to refuse.
