The hotel gets 1 star because the property is new,...

The hotel gets 1 star because the property is new, clean and the rooms are kept clean.. However, service wise the hotel is not up to the standards... the check in staff was not friendly and felt as if she was back after fighting with someone... the lounge is full of staff but they are busy chatting with each other... I even had to go and collect the menu myself but was lucky they did not ask me to cook my own food :)... tomato soup is out of the world literally and I mean it... in the name is tomato soup they handed us a ready made pasta sauce and when we provided feedback the staff was impressed and even said thank you... the sauce on the pizza base and the soup was the same...a fruit platter to deliver in room took exactly 45 mins but I can understand that... also, if you take a grab make sure you hand in extra 5000rp as they charge for parking even for grab drop off.. normally other hotels will chop in the paper.. not a big amount but just a practice I have not seen in many hotels... all in all substandard staff, poor management and strictly business transactions is what this stay was about... guess this experience will make me think twice to book any grand mercure property..
