My husband was stationed at Spangdahlem from '82 to '85, it was a great experience.

Then, there wasn't any of the things I'm now reading about, the commissary was in base housing and, very tiny, the new, bigger one was being built when we left.

I imagine a lot of things have changed...is there still a racetrack? We raced there on the oval dirt track.

Like I said, it was a great experience, but, I was glad to touch down in Philly three years later.
