Log in takes forever. Then a message finally came up saying they are currently upgrading to improve the service! Do you believe the message? No headsup on a trading day early in the morning! Why not just be honest and say that your system's down!!
Before October 9, 2020 - 2/5:
It's been pretty good for many years until recently, one of the securities has name and symbols changed on Oct 13, 2017. Nov 7 now, I still cannot have an "Action" popup dialogue box to sell the security. Their online support took 4 days to reply my 1st message, and told me it was working while it was not (I guess they did not check the real scenario but just tested a simple "Buy" action without trying the "Sell" on holdings. 2nd message I sent them, no reply for more than 7 business days.
After reading this case, you be the judge yourself.
The above issue was finally fixed somewhere in late 2017.
Further, some of their features and/or functions are better than other institutions, However, the symbol change of a security issue is really bothering me. E.g. another institution already has message telling me of the change the day before (Nov 1, 2018) it happens; BMOInvestorline doesn't even tell on the day of change. You simply cannot access that security.
They are really lacking some effort in this area. It could certainly make investors feeling frustrated. Nov 2, 2018, at 9:35, the old symbol was gone, new symbol was not there, so you couldn't find anything of that security. At 9:45 am, finally, they had it updated. Real funny in such a situation.
I guess they had today's issue fixed, much faster than last time.
Hope they will do better.
