Our 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 Crew Cab, 4.7 liter V8 that we bought used just had too many things that needed to be fixed. The place we bought it from mickey moused everything to get it sold, and when we started noticing things it was too late to do anything about it. Plus I have MS so it's very difficult for me to get in and out of. So we went to Dodge Courtesy in Brandon, Florida to see what was available for used trucks. Well things didn't go so well. We were told for a 2017 pickup that along with our trade in they wanted an additional $5000 cash and we just don't have that kind of money. So we were prepared to leave when this gentleman comes over to us and introduces himself, and informs us he's been listening to our conversation with Ralph the sales associate. He goes on to say that he's had enough of people being turned away because of lack of credit, or poor credit and finances or the lack of! At first I was a bit shocked, because I didn't know who this man was, yes he introduced himself but that didn't tell us anything about who he was. Then he says, "I also heard about your difficulties with vehicles because of your illness and I wanted to say I'm so sorry you have to deal with that." He was so sincere I had to turn away because he about brought me to tears, about that time he pulls Ralph aside to have a conversation, tells us "please don't leave just yet" then disappears. We start asking Ralph, "who is he?" but Ralph just smiles and avoids answering by busying himself filling out some paperwork. After about 5 minutes Ralph gets up and says "while I take care of these papers why don't you come look at this SUV and tell me what you think." So we do, next thing we know the other gentleman comes back over to us, but this time he's got a handful of papers and he says, "if you like it, it's yours." I automatically speak up and inform him that there's no way we can afford that, even though I had no idea exactly what the SUV was, I didn't pay attention. The man says, "no worries Ralph's gonna make it work for ya and all it'll take is trading in your truck, sign some paperwork, bing bang boom it's yours!" He goes on to say "after hearing the problems you found with the truck and that's only the ones you know about, and hearing about your physical issues with MS and being in that truck, being on fixed incomes and all the rest, I can't let you leave outta here in the contraption you're driving and still be able to look at myself in the mirror or sleep at night. I told you I'm tired of people like ya'll being turned away! I've got a meeting I need to get to, but hopefully this will make things a bit better for you and have a great day!" and he leaves. Ralph then tells us that the SUV is a 2020 Dodge Journey with just 23 miles on it, showed us payments we could make, gave us a great deal on our trade in and bumper to bumper warranties, roadside assistance and a slew of other things so much so we couldn't say no! The other gentleman, turns out he was the owner of that particular branch, "Holy S%+t, had me floored"!!!!! Thank you so very much for all you did for us, it will never be forgotten!!
