Nakiska gets a bad rep but it has a lot going for it. It's good value, you can park literally right at the entrance pretty easily, it has more than enough seating to eat, it doesn't get as busy without tourists as sunshine and the slopes can be great, especially for beginners.

The negative is it can get icy, it's not as bad as some people make out, but I make a point of only going after there's been some snowfall. When there's fresh snow it's great!
