I made an online appointment for 5pm for the mechanics to complete a simple oil change however this ended up being a three and a half hour wait. This happened after being told the wait was only 45 minutes once the mechanic took my car into the shop. My car was supposed to be next in line. After contacting the service center 2 hours later for an update they said I had 1 more car in front of mine. once I was able to pick up my car, I was told that the mechanics who do the routine work left early in the day and it was very hot in the shop so the workers had fallen behind. Which I understand, but when you have an appointment I would expect the car to be finished especially when the paperwork says the customer is waiting for the car. Lastly, there are multiple signs over the store that say 30 minute oil change. When I asked the woman who checked me out she said that doesn't apply. I was a first time customer at this pep boys location and I am guaranteed I will never step foot in this or any other pep boys. They obviously don't care about their customers. It's not about retaining customers, it's about working their staff to the ground and making quick money through falsely advertised gimmicks.
