The service and food were great. The room itself was kinda gross and there were ants everywhere. We had to call for room service immediately because there was old food in the fridge and tons of ants. Ants got into all of our stuff and generally ruined our vacation. They were even in the towels and pool. Gross! The room was old school and in need of serious updating.

That being said, it was a neat experience. The room was probably amazing in its prime, and would have been OK if not for all the bugs. There was also an unpleasant, musty smell in the room. Our room had a private pool and dry sauna, as well as a heart shaped jacuzzi and a fireplace. I don't regret my stay, but I'm not sure if I would go back.

The experience made for a fun, interesting mini-vacation. If it was for a special occasion (like an anniversary or a honeymoon) it would be very disappointing.

Pro: good food, great service, interesting place, cool room amenities, good for an interesting weekend

Cons: lots of bugs, unpleasant smell, outdated, bad for special occasions

I would not go back, but I don't regret my stay.
