This is coming from someone who has worked here for a collective year and a half. There s no way this is bias because I ve been on both sides (shopped here plenty of times before employment, and as I ve worked here, I ve had to deal with horrible people, and nice ones as well) every place needs improvement, I get that, but you have to understand this isn t family owned. We are owned by Vintage Stock so it s corporate who gets to set up prices, policy, and how much we can give you for selling us your movies. Here s what I have to say to the reviewers; if someone passed you by and didn t ask if you need assistance, a previous customer asked them to get a movie for them so they were occupied (there s at least 1 person assigned to work on the floor to help customers, he might be helping someone else also) You happened to see some staff in a circle talking? We hire new people every month, it takes a second to get a flow going, yet it s also nice to converse to forget about an angry customer that s usually tweakers, fathers who were angry before entering the store, and middle aged people thinking that we re trying to lie to them (if we did lie, they would come back for a return and that would be more work on us, so it s redundant to lie in the first place) we deal with yelling and threats very often and not for reasons you might think, it s usually small things like a customer switching sale stickers and they believe they re entitled to something we re not allowed to offer that price for, so it can get extremely discouraging or depressing depending on how you take things, so having a joke or two really does help immensely. Lastly, our stuff IS organized alphabetically, but everyday, at least 100 people sift through our product and change the order of everything so it makes it harder for us AND the next customer. I personally see it 3 times a day, including today. Every month we have people reorganize the entire thing (I myself helped with it a week ago) with a store this big, it isn t too easy maintaining but we do our best none the less.
