There is a $10 fee, which covers parking and shuttle service to and from the historic center of Harpers Ferry. Amenities are typical of other Visitor Centers, except there are no restaurants. The nearest ones are at the historic center. The map that they hand out is very informative and useful, especially for those who have not made detailed plans of their visit.

The shuttle bus leaves every 20 minutes and the trip takes 10 minutes. From the drop-off point, it's a short 5-minute walk to the historic center. It is also possible to walk the entire way, which would have probably taken 45 minutes.

There is an alternative paid parking lot at Shenandoah Street, which is closer to the historic center but without the shuttle service and restrooms. Visitors will have to walk maybe 20 minutes from there to the historic center.
