Ex Luminae Review of Sheridan Needham Hotel

TLDR: The staff don't clean well, help their customers, or care at all and that ruins a hotel where the discount rate is almost 250 a night.
I was incredibly shocked at how horrible my stay was at the Boston Sheraton hotel.
To start with, i set up my stay almost a month in advanced. I set up the days, I asked for a few things under special request (early check in at 12 which is an offered option, feather free room, low floor, and near an elevator) to accommodate my 7 months pregnant, disabled wife, and i put in my company card as payment on their website. Turns out that it was all largely ignored, including one interesting thing of note, which is that they will not charge your card at the time of entering it, or when you arrive at the hotel. I asked them to when i arrived and they said they wouldn't. It seems they will only use the info you take time to enter if you don't show up at all, an inconvenience to the customer for nothing but their personal gain. The fun has yet to begin though.
My wife and I arrive at 12PM and I had a business meeting at 1PM and wanted to have my wife settled in my room before i had to go, which did not happen. Instead they made her wait for 4 hours in the lobby and even then made her trade off so we did not get a feather free room to get a room at all. just to clarify, normal check in time was at 3 and when we arrived at 12:00, they told me our room was not ready but that it would be moved to the highest priority and should be ready within half an hour. Half an hour later I checked again and they said "Oh, i'm sorry, but your room isn't ready. It should be ready in an hour and a half". That did not make me happy, but there was little i could do. So my wife checks an hour and a half later(2:15 roughly) and turns out that our room wasnt ready, but they said it should 'only' be an hour or so and they would text her when it was done. An hour later (3:15) there is no text. So my evidently very patient wife waited a bit longer before going up and seeing them at 3:50 and asked when our room would be ready. Turns out there was still not a feather free room ready, but they could give her one with feathers immediately(this was after the current attendant was slightly shocked at her waiting so long for our room). So we got our room finally.
I think that being lied to on repeat and made to wait 4 hours longer than originally requested to just get a room at all shows the quality of this hotel and their staff already, BUT THERES MORE.
I get out of my meeting at 5 and am displeased by our treatment already, but then i get in the room. I mean i didn't think small green tribbles existed, but i found one in our AC and it smelled like mold. But there is still, somehow more.
If exhausting my wife by making her stay in the lobby 4 extra hours wasn't enough, they went ahead and made it worse by not allowing her to sleep it off the following day. So i go away to my second business meeting at 7:30 in the morning the following day and my wife tries to take a nap to make up for the previous day. After breakfast, she puts out that do not disturb placard on the door and goes to sleep a bit after 8. Then for some unknown reason, a cleaning person knocks at about 9, comes in and sees my wife who just got woken up by a random stranger entering her room with a DO NOT DISTURB placard on the door, and backs out of the room. Ok, fine, one inept cleaning person at a hotel, it happens. Except guess what happens an hour later. The exact same bloody sequence. So now my wife is really not getting the sleep she needs, and finds the other placard they put in the room, the one that actually says "Do Not Clean" and guess what happens one, bloody, cursed, hour later. Some apparently idiotic, apparently inept, apparently ILLITERATE cleaning moron knocks on my room door, comes in, and finds my exhausted wife startled awake by the third idiot to try cleaning a room with a person in it.
To sum up, don't go here if you have self esteem of any amount, or dislike being screwed over. Also if you hate tribbles
