The road getting to the place can be very slippery and honestly a bit scary. They put a rope on the way to climb the stairs. It really depends in the weather. Beside that, the place is very beautiful, there are a lot of monkeys walking between people and are quite funny. I do recommend the trip.
Be cautious that there is only a bus per hour going to Nagano station.
Between the Monkey park and the bus station expect to walk 30 minutes.
If you have luggages, there is a place on the way where you can leave them for 500 yen.
