Nicole Brace Review of Summitt Energy
SCAM ALERT!
SCAM ALERT!
The guy came to my door this afternoon, I was half asleep and had a very cranky toddler in my arms... He gave me the impression that he was a representative of Enbridge. He asked to see my bill - fortunately all my bills are through my email and my internet wasn't working. He didn't tell me anything about monthly charges and made no mention of a contract. He kept going on about an energy savings tax incentive the government was offering and made it seem like I had to sign with them to get the savings. I even asked him if there were any charges and he said no and started talking about the government incentive program again.
So I signed. Then he called the company so i could confirm that I signed, at which point, he told me to lie to the rep on the phone by saying he had left, while he was still standing in my doorway. As soon as the rep on the phone mentioned a 5 year contract... that's when I realized I was being duped and I immediately canceled the whole thing. I will be calling tomorrow to confirm the cancellation! I will also be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and Consumer Protection. This is NOT OK!
Summit Home Services should be ashamed of themselves! DO NOT SIGN ANYTHING, DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION AND DO NOT ALLOW THEM INTO YOUR HOME!
