Rip-off. I understand that a 24 hour emergency animal hospital is going to have inflated prices. I am willing to pay inflated prices for this service, I just don't want to get ripped off during the process.
$800 ear infection, don't go here!
I came home to find my wife and kids very concerned about our Lab puppy who wouldn't eat and was also showing signs of pain from his neck up. He is a food driven dog, so him not eating was a definite concern. Went to Reach as it was a weekend and our vet's office was closed. After having to get pre-approved for credit card payment, which I actually understand, they took him back to examine him. Came back out said he definitely and something wrong, presenting with tenderness around his mouth and ears. Said they needed to sedate him and do X-rays. They did an ER exam, then sedated him and did three X-rays!! Then they looked in his ears.
He had an ear infection! That's right, an EAR INFECTION!!
Final bill, wait for it... $802.43 FOR AN EAR INFECTION!!
Talked to staff about this and they said he didn't present with an ear infection. I guess I thought the $97 ER exam would have included looking in a dogs ears that presented with tenderness from the neck up around the ears and jaw.
Unless your pet is dying and you have no other option, do not go here.
