Been going here for over 30 years. Still love it today. It's such a great space. Lot's of different plants and trees. Don't miss the handkerchief tree in March when the white handkerchief like leaves are out ~ such a site to see. There is the Japanese garden with Bonsai trees (very old behind bars ~ but you can still see them clearly). The hot house is great with Koi carp this used to be positioned differently so you didn't walk from reception. The cactus house is great ~ nice and cosy in the winter months. They also have exhibitions on for example masive (pretty much life size) dinosaurs that moved. The children loved these so much. You had to pay extra for this but we were in all day. There is also a live brass band in nice weather . Don't miss the bog a favorite of all children (along with the extensive children's play park). Would recommend a visit.
