I was stationed in 1982/1983. I was in the Army working in HEADQUARTERS BATTERY. We where there for support. 2/62nd AIR Defense Artillery Unit. I was 19 years old at the time. I lived on the German economy in a town called Wittlich ( spelling maybe wrong) but I enjoyed the culture. The German soldiers I encountered where very nice. Some was as you g as 15 years old. Enjoyed Bitburg also. The food was really good. Played basketball, went to the bowling alley often. Very small Base back then. But had some great times. Went to the field svery month. It s a very very cold place. Appreciated serving my country. Greatest moved I decided as a young man.
