I've bought fixtures and hardware a few times at Cowan over the years. They have a nice showroom and the price I paid for various showerheads, converters, etc. was better than the other local suppliers.

I recently bought a couple of vessel sinks on line and they failed to ship with pop up drains as advertised. Home Depot and Lowes didn't carry the drain with overflow valve except online and I wanted to install today. Ace hardware didn't have the part either. I went to Cowan, and of course the parts were in stock. When I complained about the price being significantly (10 - 15%) more than I found online, the sales clerk passed along a contractor discount that brought the price inline with those that I found on the web.

The showroom is nice for folks who are remodeling and need to get ideas. The parts area is clean and well organized, but caters more to plumbers and handymen as opposed to remodelers. Not that it matters, just setting expectations.

It's nice having Cowan in the area - I can count on them to have the hardware I'm seeking.
