Review of Varsity Tutors

I have been working for Varsity for for almost 6 m...

I have been working for Varsity for for almost 6 months now. So far it has been a good company to contract with. The interview process was thorough but not overly demanding. Like with any tutoring job it can be hard to count on consistent hours however I have usually been pleasantly surprised with Varsity's ability to keep new clients coming my way. If you were qualified for a wide range of popular topics (ACT/SAT/GRE/Math help) and had a lot of availability I think it would be possible to support oneself from this job. Otherwise, it is still a fairly well-paying and highly flexible part time job. I like being able to set my hours and sometimes I get to work from home which is great. Varsity also has a useful online tutoring portal and lots of supplemental material such as practice tests and flashcards. They have a lot of stuff for test prep (ACT/SSAT/GRE/etc) that is really great for the students and also makes it easy on the tutor as well. Their materials for regular homework help are not as expansive but also helpful. The administrative staff is very helpful, available, and seems to genuinely care that clients and tutors are satisfied should an issue arise. I have and will continue to recommend Varsity to parents, students, and tutors looking for employment.
