Moved to a brand new apartment with my baby and partner. As soon as we moved in there the windows and carpets were filthy and the flat was clearly damp. After 1-2 months we had rising damp in our master bedroom, mould growing in the bathroom and kitchen and the damp ruined my brand new wardrobe. Landlord said to keep windows open etc which didn't work. Wet patches in the carpet and flat was infested with wood lice, damp was so bad that it got to everyone's chest that slept in that room.
Had a leak upstairs in neighbours flat and only a couple of days after we had a leak also, so bathroom stunk of mould and damp but landlord didn't want to do anything about it.
I had to keep reporting different problems with the flat I've never had so many problems in one place if something seems too good to be true it normally always is!!!
Also met one of the builders who told me that they were told to build over the damp/mouldy building that it was before! No wonder it had all these problems. Disgusting how they can put a baby's health at risk over a bit of money.
