The nurse was seated at the reception desk when I entered and told him I thought I had broken my finger. He replied "I doubt it." He called me back and didn't weigh or measure me just asked my those details. He put us in an exam room where the Dr. came in and again told me he doubted I had broken my finger. The X-ray tech took me to do an x-ray and the machine didn't work and he had to bring in another machine. The Dr. came back in said my finger was in fact broken and put a splint on it. No other instructions were given. At no time did anyone ask my about my pain level. My blood pressure was high and no one mentioned that either. after the splint was placed another nurse brought me a phone to register and the person on the line couldn't tell me if you all were in network with my insurance or not. I find it odd that I wasn't registered prior to x-ray's. Then the discharge nurse came in handed us some papers, gave no instructions and told us to wait in the lobby for a copy of my xray. No one told me how long I need to wear the splint or if follow up was needed. We waited almost 40 minutes for the disk...and the facility was not busy. All in all I would say I was dissatisfied with my visit. And, should I need an emergency room in the future I won't be returning to this one.
