Katty Oishi Review of clever canines ltd.

I am going to write our experience with Clever Canines. Our vet recommended it and we thought it was the best place for our dog. First, they never asked us for vaccination certificate or any health records to take our dog there. We were very satisfied at the beginning with the day school services and we even took the pupstart classes.
Our dog tends to eat everything that it's in ground. It's easy to manage and you just have to ask him to drop it or leave it. It's an issue and we were aware about it. But, behind the day school at Clever Canines they have a small backyard with wood chips. Of course, our dog loved it and ate tons of it. The first time, he vomited a hand full of wood chips and we requested the staff to keep him away from it. Wood chips can be very dangerous for dogs, not only can perforate their bowels but it can be poison for some dogs. He is a puppy so it's obvious we should watch what he was eating.
After, a week attending the day school, he vomited again. We talked with staff and requested again to keep him away.
The following week, again the same issue. I emailed the owner (Tracie), never got an response or email.
The issue repeated again and we strongly talked with staff. The answer: We have 77 dogs to watch!!! The ratio of dog/ staff may be 1 staff for 20 dogs. Do they care about dogs? Of course they do, but it's impossible to watch so many of them at the same time. We just asked to keep our dog away from the backyard and they never took any responsibility.
I felt betrayed and I feel the owners may had a good intentions when they started this business but right now it's all about the money.
I will never take my dog there again and I learned to be careful about where and with who I leave my dog. I truly do not recommend this place and please keep your dog away from there.
