They advertise a stay and play package that as a new reef rewards members you can get 200 dollars back in 3 installments if you lose that much in the casino during your stay. It's a selling point to get you to get the package, but as I found out today, it's what they don't say that counts. The people said yesterday that during my stay, after 10am today, as I only stayed one day, that I could report to the reef rewards desk and see the amount I lost and get my first pymt of like 40 bucks back. Well, apparently the deal is actually the first day you sign up as a new reef rewards member, you have till only midnight that very same night. Now most guests are not gonna leave the casino at midnight as it's a major part of why people stay there in the first place. So, all the employees who sold me the package, signed me up at the desk as a new member, all told me that after 10am when I had checked out, come by the rewards desk and confirm that I lost 200 bucks and get the payback deal started. Needless to say, after wasting my time waiting for some closure and there being no-one on Sunday who could adjust the points or whatever, I left upset and very disappointed with the fact that I had no resolution at that point. After leaving, I got a call and was told basically we are sorry that our employees gave you false info, that are pamphlet is misleading and unclear, and that they were gonna change their flyers, and tell the employees the correct info. So, false advertising was no issue with the casino management, customer service clearly don't matter as well, and they basically said oh well, our bad, but here is 5 bucks on your rewards card. Needless to say, I won't go back because of that, and will let Alcoa employees and refinery ones as well, the unjust situation and am probably gonna file a formal complaint with the BBB as well, and the tv was out all night due to wind, told the desk at checkout, and another oh well deal with it.
