The service use to be excellent. You could either walk in or make a reservation to see and Consular Officer and they always wanted to help. Now you just get automated prerecordings.

The biggest problem with the US Embassy it the Korean phone operators at hand. When you ask them to speak to Consular Officer they say "what for" and wants to be in charge of the situation rather than help.

With due all respect their language skills and comphrension of US bureaucracy isn't always great. So I just don't understand why they constantly try to prevent us from speaking to a consular representattive.
