I started working as an independent contractor with Varsity Tutors a few months ago, and I have had a great experience thus far. I receive several tutoring opportunities every week and the flexible scheduling process allows me to juggle as many clients as I can without compromising my other commitments. I feel Varsity Tutors has done an excellent job matching me with my clients. They are all eager students, and I hope they have benefitted from my involvement in their learning process. I have been able to reach out to my regional directors with any issues and receive a timely and helpful response. I have experienced some technical difficulties with the online tutoring platform, but overall the platform contains a great many useful features which help me maximize my time and the online tutoring experience of my clients. As a certified test prep tutor, I sometimes receive opportunities to tutor students who are seeking preparation for a specific exam, such as a state teaching exam, which I am certainly not qualified to tutor. I hope these students are matched with tutors with the appropriate qualifications.
