Troy Janda Review of North Point Church

I moved from Northeast Florida to Alpharetta in June 2016. Having visited several churches, we ended up at NPCC. We attended for about six months before deciding that it was not the right fit for us. In general, if you are looking for a church home and are already a Christian, this church is probably not for you. This church is a what some call a seeker focused church. Everything they do from top to bottom is designed to make the campus and environment more comfortable for those who do not yet have a relationship with Jesus. Based upon my personal experience, I would say they are committed to this purpose to a fault. Often times, taking the concept of making the campus and environment so inviting to the unchurched that they have become like them (the world) too much. Setting that aside for a moment, this church is not designed nor does it have the programs necessary for extended spiritual growth. While it does have small groups for adults spread out through the community, there is nothing but a 1 hour small group/worship for kids under 18. Coming from a church in Florida that had extensive, and mostly, campus centralized small group programs and activities throughout the entire week and for all ages, NPCC doesn't even come close to providing similar programs than can provide sustainable spiritual growth. If you are looking for a church home and are already a Christian, NPCC probably isn't the church for you.
