But seriously reconsider purchasing Bose unless you just want to be banging your head against the wall if you ever have to deal with their customer service.
I had purchased a pair of QC 15 headphones and the ear cushions had deteriorated so I attempted to resolve the situation by visiting a retail location. I was directed to call an 800 customer service which I did and spoke to a gentleman in the Philippines who said that they'd be sending out a replacement cushions. He then asked if there was anything else he could help me with and I replied, "yes, as a matter of fact, the in-line volume control switch doesn't work". I was informed that they'd now be sending me out a replacement pair of headphones (I assumed a reconditioned pair) and was given instructions regarding the return of my pair. A week or more went by and nothing had happened or arrived except for a customer service survey which I foolishly filled out rating Bose with high marks.
After waiting a bit I called Bose back and was basically told by some gal that she really didn't have a record of that phone call (re: customer survey sent to me?). So I started over again with her and ordered the ear cushions at $35.
A week goes by and no word, or packages, from Bose. I remember being at work one night thinking about it and asking my wife to check front porch - nothing. It was later that same night that my credit card was charged and I'm thinking wow, these folks have obviously never heard about a company called Amazon and their method of product fulfillment.
Now, here we are another week later and I still have nothing.
Just got off the phone with Bose' customer service center. No, we haven't sent you anything because, no, we don't have those in stock. And no, Bose doesn't have a record of charging your card. Really? According to Capital One they did indeed attempt a charge but backed it off 24 hours later when they probably realized that they are not in stock.
The thing that amazes me now is that Amazon carries these from several different dealers and they even have an off-market product with 1,300 positive reviews for half the price. Go figure.
