It was a pleasant experience until the tax season this year. Sharing the experience here so be careful when you lease a car and choose your broker.
Last year we leased a Prius prime with Luke Zhang. We were not sure whether we should lease a car or buy one. The clean vehicle tax credit was one of the most important things to consider (worth thousands of $$$) One of the previous dealers that we visited told us that we can't get it because the dealer will get it and the discount has already been applied to the price. So we double checked with Luke and was told that they don't take the credits, other than that, there's also PG&E rebate etc. We should have searched for it ourselves but we chose to trust Luke because was helpful, friendly and speaks our native language so we assumed that we will get the tax credits ($4250.) This year when we were preparing for the tax return, we searched online to see how to do it and to our surprise and disappointment, the answer is an absolute "No, you don't get the tax credits if you lease a car" We reached out to Luke asking if he knew about this, he said that he cannot remember that we've communicated over this.

He told us that he's able to sell a car every day and is one of the best salesman there. Maybe hiding information is one of the tricks. So never trust a salesman, do your research and compare at different locations. Good luck.
